I was bemoaning how hard it was to get videos off the old iPh0ne, it took forever, I had to sit there and keep it open etc.. A pain in the arse.

Last night it occurred to me to JUST CONNECT THE DAMN THING TO THE COMPUTER WITH A

WIRE!!!!!!!

Yeah. It worked well too. Took a minute for it to download but it was pretty smooth and seamless.

I also figured out the drift situation with the old (LG) phone I’m using to record audio. I had it set up to record podcasts. It had a setting hidden deep within the app (not really I just didn’t look) to truncate silences. Which is wonderful for podcasts. It means I can stare at the wall in silence for 5 minutes and the app will lower that down to a set time. I unclicked that, and now it should record the sound like the camera and synching should be smooooth now.
